Catfish TV

I've become addicted to Catfish TV show. How sad and pathetic can you be that you hide behind a persona that isn't you and then get mad when you get caught.  The excuse all the time is they felt bad about themselves and this made them feel better and they made a connection w/this person and even though the picture doesn't match up they were completely themselves and told them things they never told anyone, blah, blah, blah.

    DH and I are obsessed with Catfish! I don't understand how someone can be in a relationship with someone they have never met in person, never skyped with, some of them haven't even spoke over the phone! I feel bad for the people who are totally blindsided when it turns out they've been talking to someone of the same sex or what not, but they should have expected it when the person on the other end is being so sketchy.

    I don't get that either, but, I guess you and I both have self esteem.
