I have been communicating with two doulas via telephone and email, and had the first in person interview with one of them yesterday. My husband who had been very hesitant to hire a doula was really won over by this woman and wanted to cancel the appointment tonight with the other lady. I said we should go ahead and interview to be 100 sure.
Well now the second lady has canceled due to the illness of a child, and cannot reschedule until Saturday at the earliest.
WWYD? just cancel the second appointment or go with it to be super sure? I have no doubt the first lady is going to be my first choice, so am I also wasting the second lady's time??

How do you feel about the first doula? If your gut is telling you she would be great then I would cancel the second appointment. If you are having a slight hesitation then interview the second. IMO vibes are most important when picking a doula. This is a women that is going to see you when you are vulnerable, in pain, and emotional. You want someone you feel comfortable with and connect with. If you felt that with the first doula then she is the right one for you.
ETA: I just read that the first lady is going to be your first choice. Cancel the appointment with the second.
