Angelcare Monitor Question

I'm pretty sure I'm finding the babies heartbeat but I hear people saying they hear their HB and the babies. How would you know the difference? The sound? This might be a silly question!

    The baby's HB should be faster than yours. What HR are you coming up with?

    Your heart rate is usually under 100, though if you're right on an artery, you might get a reading up to 125 or so.  Baby should be over 120 and probably higher if you are right over his or her chest.

    Thanks that's the sound I pretty hear every time I think it's the baby! Lol

    I could tell it was my heartbeat by putting my fingers on my pulse point in my neck and the sound would match the pulses I felt.

    Your heartbeat is waaaaaayyyy slower. And if you find the baby's it will have an extra little component that makes it sound like a horse galloping.

    It is the babies, I just wanted to double check!  The video helped me realize I was hearing the right thing.  The Angelcare monitor does not do heartrate speed just lets you hear it.  It did help checking my pulse too, it is much slower.
