... I made DH actually look at my horrific hemorrhoid and he confirmed that it actually is the size of a golf ball. I am very, very afraid of how bad it's going to get after pushing.

That is a very good husband. I have one too. Not as big but I'm terrified of its size after as well. And the hernia too. My body parts are popping out everywhere!

I'm sorry, those are awful!

Get a bottle of distilled Witch Hazel from your local pharmacy - it's very inexpensive but natural and effective. Soak a cotton ball with the witch hazel and leave it on the hemorrhoid while you sleep.

You can change it several times.

Also, I would pair that with some Anusol. Since your hubby has been down there already he may be able to help.
