Nate just woke up sobbing. I figured he had a bad dream (he may well have had even with this story.) I rubbed his head and tucked him in and stupidly sat on his bed. When I got up to leave, he had a meltdown. I told him I was NOT sleeping in there, so to go to sleep, he was okay. I gave up and left him crying at the baby gate. So, five min later, I went back to check because the kid was still crying. He hadn't had on pants when I went in there earlier because his new thing is removing his pants constantly. He's standing in the doorway sobbing, "I want ppaaaannnts" and holding his pants. I put his pants on him and he crawled in bed and fell sound asleep within two seconds. What?! 2 year olds are weird.

B's bedtime is not nearly so quirky and funny. He goes through his bedtime routine and lays down in his crib with his blanket and his animals of choice. We go downstairs and relax for 5-15 minutes. B starts to cry. If we go up there right away, he'll calm down, but cry again when we leave. If we let him cry for 15 minutes and then go up, he'll insist on 1 song and then go right to sleep. It drives me crazy.
