Anybody have information about the post partum breastfeeding support groups at Sky ridge or other Denver area hospitals? Supposedly they are free, weekly and lead by a lactation specialist? Thanks so much!
I don't know about other hospitals, but I know that there's a free breastfeeding support group for moms at Good Sam. Every week a couple of the LCs come down with their scales, and you can have a weighed feeding and they're around to answer any questions you have.
I'm not sure about Denver hospitals but all of the hospitals up here ::northern Colorado:: have them. I found it when I went to my 1 week free lactation appointment through the hospital. If you don't want to wait until after birth to know when and where I can only assume there is someone you can call. Start with labor and deliver at your hospital.
Ps. I meant one week after baby is born. Also, we've become very close with a lot of the ladies that started going when we went. It's a regular meet up every week. This week we are going to the zoo!
