Trouble TTC

Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor

Just curious if anyone has used one of these before? My cousin is giving me hers and before I go spend $50 on a box of test strips, I want to know if anyone has had any experience with one and if its worth it? We are on a treatment break until August, maybe later. We haven't decided yet exactly, so I figured, what the heck. I'll take it since its free and I just have to buy the strips.

A lot of the strips I see on there expire next month. Are they still technically OK after that date for a month or so?

  • This is my first month using it.. BUT i'm on day 32 with not a peak in sight, so it's been pretty disappointing. I guess my body just isnt cooperating, and I somehow convinced myself that the monitor would help (foolish, I know).

But since yours is free, it's definitely worth a shot. Best of luck!!!

  • You need to use them every time you pee. Before I could trigger I had to get a positive, in one day I used 6 before I finally got the smiley. Good luck!

    Edit:
Never mind I was thinking the OPKs

  • I use one and do prefer it to OPK's.  It does take time to get to know your body.  It didn't pick up peak my very first cycle using it.  It also didn't pick up peak when I had taken a couple months break off using it.
Off BCP August 2010, NFP to avoid. Start TTC May 2011. TTA December 2011 - May 2012 doctor's orders :( TTC July 2012-January 2013. Currently pursuing Napro Technology. January 2013: Napro nurse is starting me on Vitex 3 DPO and Naproxen 8 DPO until my first appointment with the doctor. Based on my charts, they highly suspect endometriosis. image
  • I have used it for 6 months so far and it has worked wonderfully.  It's the only brand that my RE suggests.
