I've got a late bloomer question

So although DD has excelled in her fine motor skills, she's taking her sweet time with her gross motor skills. She still isn't crawling, but this weekend for the first time I started to see effort made to do so. She's been getting on all fours and rocking and getting into a sitting position easily. However she only does all of this after I put her down for a nap (and then cries because she can't get herself back to a laying position)

When your LO was working on a new, major skill like this, was their sleeping disturbed/lengthened, were they crankier than normal?

Yes, yes, yes! If its not teeth with my ds, a new skill like this is always to blame for a cranky baby.

Oh yes. New skills definitely = crazy sleep. Hopefully she will master it quickly for you!

That explains it! Cecilia's been working on standing up lately and she only really wants to do it at bed time and nap time. Thank you for bringing this up!
