Intro - toddler & loss mentioned

I've been lurking for a bit and seen how supportive you all are! We're in a waiting game right now for another week or so before we're cleared to be TTC again, but I wanted to intro anyway. I did remove the pic of DD a couple hours ago, but apologize if it hasn't caught up in the system.

Background: Married 5/2010 TTC 8/2010 BFP 1/5/11 baby girl born c-section 9/14/11

TTC #2 6/2012 BFP 7/15/12 m/c 8/11/12 - BFP 2/10/13 chemical preg/m-c 2/14/13 - Doctor's don't seem to think much of this one when it happened because of "statistics"... BFP 4/10/12 spotting started 4/29, ultrasound measured 2 weeks behind - m/c @ home 4/30. We were told that because my body handled everything on its own, we could start trying again right away, but our single attempt in May led to a BFP 5/26 and a m/c 6/2.

That's when the flags were raised, the loss in Feb was then called a m/c not a chemical pregnancy, and it was recommended that we do karyotype testing, and a full hormonal panel on me of day 3 next cycle, thinking they may not have re-set after DD. I think we're kind of numb going through 3 losses in 4 months, and would welcome any insight about the karyotype/hormonal testing from those who have done that.

Thank you in advance, and for having such a supportive board! I'm not sure how much I'll interact getting started until the numbness wears off and we have some answers (hopefully).

I'm so sorry for your losses! What an awful few months it has been for you. I understand the feelings of shock and numbness that you described...who would ever imagine that they would find themselves in this situation.

I had the recurrent pregnancy loss testing as well as karyotype. The RPL testing will alert your doctor of any clotting disorders, possible autoimmune or other hormonal issues that may be a factor in your losses. The karyotype will tell you if there are any chromosomal rearrangements that would be causing the losses. If your husband isn't also being karyotyped I would highly recommend it because that it was through doing a karyotype on my DH that we figured out why we kept miscarrying (translocation). The RPL testing took about a week to come back and the karyotypes took almost 4 weeks for us. I know it's hard waiting for those tests to come back. I hope that if anything comes back it's something that is easily treatable. I'm glad you found us but I'm sorry that you have to be here. ((hugs))

Thank you so much SA1112 for the support and information! I had no idea of the timing of results, because I hadn't thought to ask! I'm usually so detail oriented....

DH is being tested too - we'll hope for an answer of some sort!
