I don't know WTF happened except to guess it is separation anxiety. Since pretty much day 1, Jackson has been an awesome sleeper. Grant it, I thank the swaddle for most of it but about 3 weeks ago, this kid has been vetoing sleep. It is absurd! I could literally decide "you need to go to bed now" and I could put him down pretty much "wide awake" and he'd just go to sleep.
So now it's 10-15 minutes of back rubbing at bedtime and he has to be completely asleep before I can leave the room. He wakes up in the middle of the night and does this wimper/whine/fuss thing he's never done before. I used to walk in, put his binky back in and walk out. Done....he'd go back to sleep. Now it's either rub his back for a while or give in and take him to my bed.
H and I both work 55+ hours a week and need sleep. Pleeeease tell me this is temporary! And also any words of wisdom. This was about the time when my daughter really started sleeping well, again, out of no where.
