Baby not waking up hungry?

My DS is almost 7 months old.  He was breastfed up until about 3 weeks ago and now has formula all day and he is breast fed once overnight.  When he wakes up in the morning, he doesn't seem hungry.  Last night, for example, he had 8oz formula at about 6/6:30, I nursed him at midnight and he woke up at 6:30 and wasn't hungry.  I gave him a bottle and he reluctantly drank 5 oz.  This is the norm.  He only gets about 26 oz of formula all day and I can't imagine he's getting much BM at night (my supply is basically shot).  He's happy otherwise.  So anyone else have a baby that isn't hungry upon waking?

    My LO is still BF, but she rolls around and plays before eating in the morning. Sometimes up to an hour after waking if I'm sleepy.

    Both of mine refuse anything until about an hour after they wake up. DD gets about 24oz a day and sometimes a 1am feeding with r without she still won't eat until 7-7:30 when she wakes up at 6. I don't force it she will eat if he's hungry.

    My son is an eating machine, but his first bottle of the morning is always the smallest. For us, I have learned to accept it. I was kind of encouraging him to drink more, but it would usually result in crazy amounts of spit up.

    I would say that it is similar to when we wake up- we aren't always hungry when we wake up.  I found that happened with my first, when she was an older baby and especially when she wasn't going through a growth spurt.

    My DS will sometimes go up to 2 hours after waking before eating. I think it is normal. I just follow his cues for when he is hungry.

    Yep, my daughter waits an hour or two after waking int he morning before nursing.  It makes it a little tricky if we have to get up and go somewhere right away.

    My son will normally eat around 7pm, and wake up around 6/630 when his dad leaves in the morning and won't eat till around 8am. he just wants to play for a little. he's been like this for about 3/4 months now.
