spotting question

I am currently in tww after first invitro, af due Mon, (blood test mon also) Egg retrieval on June 10, with transfer June 12. TMI but just went #2 and a small amt of water blood on TP after I wiped, check and def vaginal. I haven't had this in tww yet in this cycle. I checked (again TMI) to see if I had more and to see what ymy cervix was doing. No blood in vaginal canal and cervix was very high and so soft thought for a min it wasn't even cervix. Im on POI and Estrace, can you spot like that in TWW with those meds? Is it IB? Do meds make cervix do that? From what I know when AF is due its supposed to be low and hard...HELP! Scared and confused!

    I have had spotting  off and on for the past 3-4 days.  I am two days ahead of you (transfer was on June 10th).  I thought it was gone but it was back again this morning.  My nurse said that it can be normal as long as it is not a full flow.  It has ranged from red streaked to dark brown.  When I mentioned it again to my nurse when she called about beta 2, she told me to ask for the spotting handout.  Apparently it is VERY common.  The handout says 50% of pregnancies have spotting.  I also posted about this on PAIF and several of the girls over there had spotting too.  It's hard not to freak out.  I too am trying to say calm but I have gotten great betas so far.  GL on Monday!!

    Another possibility is if you are on estrace vaginally, it can irritate the cervix and cause cervical bleeding.  I couldn't tell if you were from your post.  I am not on anything vaginally and still have spotting.

    April 2012: MRI- questionable cyst 8mg by 12mm in pituitary ; referred to RE by Ob-gyn after amenorrhea x 4+ months, provera ineffective, low estrogen level
    cycle 1: May 2012, clomid 50mg; cycle cancelled, thin lining, no response
    cycle 2: June 2012, femara 5mg; cycle cancelled, no response
    cycle 3: July 2012, femara 7.5mg; cycle cancelled (largest folli on Cd12 & cd 16: 11, lining 4)
    Repeat MRI July 25,2012- Cyst unchanged, likely old infarction.
    Aug. 8: met with RE, move to injectables if HSG and SA normal
    Aug. 23: HSG all clear; DH- perfect
    Switched to a new RE in early Sept. IVF here we come
    Genetic testing reveals: Fragile X- Intermediate risk/grey zone.
    IVF#1: ER 11/30: 14 retrieved, 10 mature, 7 fertilized. E2 prior to trigger 5200. Decision made to freeze 6 embryos and transfer later due to OHSS.
    IVF#1.2/FET #1: estrogen injects start 1/18, FET delayed to try to thicken lining. lining 5.4mm. FET- 2/18- transferred one 3AA expanded blast. BFP 5dp5dt. Beta #1- 2/27 9dp5dt- 102.27 beta #2 3/1: 147 :(, beta #3 3/4: 268 told to stop meds and let nature take its course. requested 4th beta (3/6); Beta hell for 2 months.

    FET # 2: endometrial scratch 5/6, added estrace vaginally and ASA to delestrogen and PIO. June 10- transferred one 4AA hatched embryo, BFP 4dp6dt, Beta 1 (9dp6dt) 187, Beta 2 (11dp6dt): 412; Beta 3 (15dp6dt ): 4452. U/S #1- one beautiful embryo with a heartbeat of 133 at 7 weeks.  8 weeks: heartbeat 156. EDD 2/26/2014: born 2-3-14 induced due to Pre-E and HELLP at 36w5d.

    12/1: met with RE to discuss trying for #2

    Also make sure they check your p4 and E2.  A drop in progesterone can also can you to spot.

    thanks for replying, yes on estrace vaginally. I am on IM progesterone in oil so find it hard to believe it would drop that much...

    I had a lot of spotting red to brown during my first 5 weeks from fresh cycle. If this FET results in a positive I shouldn't let spotting alarm me this time but I probably will get anxious.

    IF sucks. It's like even with a bfp you don't get to be worry-free and enjoy it like the fertiles do; it's so frustrating. I keep wanting to relax, myself, but just can't. I keep thinking about how beta is gonna be, and I just found something else to freak about. Just try to stay calm and relaxed.
    On 10/23/13 Baby Sophie and Baby Gabriel born at 21+5 weeks. They grew wings and flew away from us. May God bless them always. We love you beans!

    thanks, no more spotting, glad it hasn't turned into more, hopefully IB. A friend of mine at same DPO as I am just got her bfp yest on poas. Kind of discouraging for me since I took one day b4 and was bfn :( Im just getting really worried

    geez today more spotting after bm, now (tmi) brown discharge in liner size of a quarter now, I feel PMS'y as well. So depressed...blood test to tomorrow but think period might come tonight. Can you actually get period while on Estrace vaginally and POI? or do you start when you stop meds if you're not preg?

    Mobile bumping. I'm still having spotting off and on too. Still dark brown and worse in the mornings. I'm wearing a panty liner as well. It's mostly when I wipe but has gotten on liner from time to time though not much. They keep reassuring me it's normal even though it's been several days now. My beta also more than doubled in two days on Friday. Try to stay calm. Easier said than done, I know. It's most likely normal.

    thank u for making me feel a bit better...did you feel like you had pms too, I feel like af is coming...what day of cycle did you start spotting?

    Yes, I was crampy and felt like AF was coming.  I had a headache for 2 days straight before the spotting and feel more tired than usual.  I still have cramping off and on.  I started on the day before my beta I think which would have been 8dp6dt.  Today is 13dp6dt.
