Blinking while sleeping- normal?

Hi all! I've noticed since birth that my LO who is now 3 and a half weeks old, does a weird blinking thing as she's falling asleep and sometimes during sleep. As she's settling down sometimes she'll blink rhythmically about 7-10 times and then close her eyes. Also, sometimes when she's asleep her left eye doesn't close all the way. My immediate thought was "seizures!" but Dr. Google doesn't seem to think so. Anyone have experience with this?

    It's completely normal. Adults do this, too, when they're dreaming. DS1's eyelids never close all the way, and he's a perfectly normal four year old. My eyelids don't close all the way, either.

    Yep. Totally normal! My H does it, my DD does it, even our cocker spaniel does it!
