When did your DS get his first haircut?

Reese has started getting comments that he is going to need his first haircut soon but I think it is way too early.  Am I being silly?  To me it is exciting that you're starting to be able to tell that he has hair because it fell out and has come back blonde.  I don't really even have to comb it yet so I don't think he will need a haircut any time soon.  Plus I was under the impression that you typically wait until they're around a year old to take them for their first trim job. 

So, what have you ladies done?

    Most of DS's friends waited a long time or haven't received a first haircut (most over 2 y.o.)

    My son's hair grows in the front faster than the sides and back. It made for a really bad look which dictated a first haircut early on - around 7-8 mos of age (?).

    Orion didn't start needing a haircut until around his first birthday. ?DH and I tried to trim it ourselves a couple of times and finally caved and got him his first professional cut at 15 months. ?He gets a cut every 6-8 weeks now. ?

    truitt hasn't had a haircut yet and he is 2 mos shy of 2. could he use one? sure, to tidy up. but he does not *need* one by any stretch. his hair is not in his eyes at all, which i think may be the only reason a haircut is needed vs wanted for looks.

    My DS was almost 2.  He has really blonde hair and it isn't very thick so he just didn't need one.  Even when we cut it, it was more just to have it evened up than anything else.

    Joshua just turned two and still has not had a hair cut.

    We just got Owen's first hair cut yesterday, and he will be 2 on Wednesday.  He has slow growing, fine, wavy/curly hair, so he didn't really need a cut until recently.  Lately with the weather and some hat wearing, it's just been harder and harder to keep looking tidy and not curling as well, so we took the plunge.  I'm a little sad, but he does look so cute and like big boy now!

    Connor got a little trim around the ears and forehead at 10 months. We started real haircuts at 12-13 months and he gets them about every 8 weeks I guess. His hair starts to get unruly the longer it is.

    Wow, I can't believe so many of you could make it to two years. ?Orion was blessed with his dad's thick, fast growing hair. ?It's been about 6 weeks since his last cut and it's already creeping down to his eyes and the back is looking mulletish. ?Haircuts are expensive, I wish he didn't need them so often

    I waited until around 15 months, but he needed one long before that!

    around 11.5 months.  He needed one for a while before that but I wanted to wait until his first bday.  You can see that it needs cutting in my siggy pic.  That was the week before we got it cut.

    At the rate we are going, it will be closer to DS second birthday before he needs a haircut.

    I've been putting off Luca's first hair cut..  However, it's driving me crazy..  I prefer the look of clean cut little boys..  I think we will do it very soon...  People keep asking me if he is a girl...

    Same here.  As soon as it started to go over his ears, we cut it.  He was right at 6 months old.  He gets one about every 8 weeks.  DH and I both prefer that he has a clean cut.

    Double ditto. I prefer Joe to be clean cut. He has had 2 professional haircuts. His first one was around 7 months and his second one was around 10 or 10.5 months.
