Please let me know if i should say something or not. I have working mom guilt and i know it ![]()
I went to pick up my son on friday and he was fussing when i took him from the day care provider (he does this sometimes
and when i took him she goes oh look he wants me (her) and i just let the comment go then when i was putting him in his carseat he started crying again (he hates going in it) and then she said aww i really think he wants miss paula(her) and i said no he loves his mommy.... when i was leaving she mentioned something a third time about him prefering her i was so mad i was telling my husband i want to switch providers he said its good that the baby likes her so much, i just dont know what to do...
would you say something ( a differnt woman is in charge, paulas SIL, would you chnage daycares, or should i just leave it alone)
Re: so upset
You are lucky that the teacher and your LO like each other so much, I definitely would not switch providers. I would nip it in the bud. Next time a comment occurs I would say something along the lines of, I'm glad he likes you so much, but those comments hurt my feelings, especially after not seeing him all day.
on Friday for the first time DD reached for the teacher as we were getting ready to go, it hurt a little, but I would have been pissed if she had made any comment about it.
Good that baby likes her so much, sh*tty that she makes such ridiculous comments. Good grief. I would totally say something.
I'm sure your LO was either tired out or hungry from playing all day! I want to cry by the end of the day on Friday, too. ;o)
Agreed. If it's a good daycare, don't let a less than tactful worker ruin it. I would let her know to keep those thoughts to herself, though.
This. Major cow. Obviously that would hurt your feelings. Ugh. I'm sorry.
I would definitely say something to the woman in charge and this Paula person too. But since your LO seems to enjoy it there I wouldn't switch DC.
Another bumpie had a similar problem with a DC provider. Was it Mlynne?
Hooslisa had a DC teacher who was, like, googly eyes and circus music crazy. But then her kiddo got moved to another classroom and I think that fixed it.
