Are you sure?
Yeah, that was pretty much our reaction, haha. Pretty unexpected, I already have 2 boys and we were ALLLLLL convinced this baby was a girl. This whole pregnancy so far has been so different than with my other boys. I'm definitely in shock, but we did a bit of retail therapy after the ultrasound to ease that and get in the blue spirit. I'm sure after the initial shock and yes, the feelings of mourning the fact that I will never get to have a daughter of my own, start to wear off I'll be quite a bit more excited.
Still can't believe I'm going to have three sons. I hope the saying that there is a special place in heaven for moms of boys is true!
Re: It's a boy...? REALLY?
I hope my baby is a boy I hear good things from my friends that had boys first
Sounds fantabulous... I need to find one!
Aww, congrats on another boy! I totally know what you mean though. We have 2 boys and this pregnancy has been totally different, more sick, more weight gain, etc. So a part of me definitely thinks it's going to be a girl, but I also know not to get my hopes up either way. I would honestly love another boy if we weren't done after this one. So I get what you are saying about mourning the fact that you'll never have a daughter. But I keep telling myself that if I have to have 3 of one sex I'm glad they're boys!!
You have 20+ more weeks to adjust to the idea of having another boy, and by the time he gets here I bet you wouldn't trade your situation for anything in the world
Also, you may be seeing a verrrry similar post from me in a few weeks haha
All of this except girls...was so hoping this was a boy. Very sad too. Then the vicious cycle of guilt set it but now almost a week later I'm good. It's hard to have all of either set. All I can say is god bless my patient husband cause 3 daughter through puberty and a wife going through menopause, he's gonna need ALOT of vacations :] congrats on your little men! Hey, we could trade....
Wait until your kids hit school age, apparently all boy families are quite normal around here. So one of my friends started the group when her youngest was in K. You have to have at least three boys and only boys, no girls at all.
HAHA! How does that work for procreation in the area? Gotta find girls outside the locals?
Well my two are 7 and 5 and they are WORK, which is why I'm scared to have another boy!
Told SO he may want to check into a better insurance policy, because my boys are so rough as it is. We've got broken bones, missing teeth, etc. If I can't find anything like this, this would be a great idea to start in my area! I know loads of all boy mamas!
Congrats on the three boys! I already have three boys and it is great - they are really close!
As for the mourning - totally understand. We got an unofficial its a boy ("don't go buy clothes yet, but I am pretty sure") from the MFM a few weeks ago. Not sure how many more times we are going to try for a girl.
