Boogers

Ok so if we talk about poop, boogers are ok to talk about too, right? I'm sorry if this is gross, but I'm like laughing as I type this.

Do any of you get those really hard and dry boogers in your LO's nose? And they just won't get sucked out? I've tried the nose saline to soften them so they would be easier to suck out but that just makes more stuff come out and make the booger bigger and it still won't come out. I mean, these effers get really stuck. DS has gotten to where he hates having his nose sucked because it takes so long and I have to wrestle him to stay in one place and it results in screaming and sobbing. Anyone have any tips for getting them easier?

    Oh god. I've done that too and it resulted in bloody murder, mom why are you killing me screaming. Lol

    Ugh! It's like the end of the world every time I try to get one of those suckers out! End. Of. The. World. No tips, but I feel your pain. I usually either dig them out against her will, or I'll rub her outside nostril against the inside of her nostril and see if that loosens it.

    Not sure, but he usually sleeps face smooshed into the mattress. I'll have to try that for the next one.

    I usually clean his nostrils with a q tip after his bath. Everything seems to move down to where I can swipe his nostril get everything out.

    I started messing with his nose early. I figured until he had enough dexterity to do it himself, I'd be picking his boogers for him, so he might as well get used to it. I usually do it while he's busy with a bottle.
