Homeowner ?

We had huge storms last night. Previous owners planted 2 maple trees about 40 yrs ago right on our property line, so the trunk is in our yard, but the top of the tree spans above our back yard most of our neighbors back yard. Well, a huge branch from one of our trees broke and is hanging over the fence in our neighbors yard.

This may seem like a dumb question, but do we go in their yard and clean it up, or is it their responsibility?

    I am fairly certain since it is your tree it is your cleanup. I would personally go talk to the neighbor though first, and just say "hey I noticed a branch from our tree fell in your yard would you like for us to take care of it?" That way if they don't want you in their yard they can deny it and you at least offered.
