LO hasn't had a bowel movement since Wednesday. I'm concerned. He's gassy and will streak the diaper but no full blown bm. He is breastfed and gets about 3 to 6oz of formula a day. I know its normal to go a few days for breastfed babies but could the formula be making him constipated

I heard not going for up to a week is "normal". Does he seem uncomfortable or like he is straining to go? You can always call the pedi if he seems irritated or uncomfortable.

I think it's pretty normal. You can give him a tummy massage to get things moving though. When facing him, start at the left and go to the right in a rainbow shape on his stomach. It's important you do it that direction so it moves out and not back.

My pediatrician said that it is normal for my LO to go 10 days without a BM. He is formula fed and is on Nutrimigen and goes at least 3x per day. Yesterday he told me that as long as he's gassy, that's great. The more gas, the better!
