baby attached to c section scar

hi went for a scan today at 5 weeks 2 days pregnant

was told the baby is low and looks like its attached to the c section scar, anyone know what this means and if still can have a happy out come, doctor wanted to do D&C today but i said no to wait its still early they want me back in friday to discuss my opinions, has this happened to  anyone else and what was your outcome? do you think they could be wrong?

    I have not heard of this before however I just wanted to say I hope there wrong and things turn out okay, thoughts and prayers for you!

    There's some information missing? Are you having signs of a MC? You certainly would be higher risk with the placenta implanted over a scar- especially a low scar. In those cases sometimes the placenta implants too deeply (called an accreta). But I have ne

    If it is in the scar it is for sure an accreta - the scar lacks the layer that is usually present to prevent abnormal attachment.

    5 week is a bit early to call it that.  You should certainly see a high risk OB before making that kind of de

    I have also had the same diagnosis as you. Very scary. My OB gave me a very grim outlook and basically said if I didn't terminate pregnancy I would be at extremely high risk for a hysterectomy or death. I'm only 5.2 weeks. Going for a second opinion next week. I am emotionally exhausted as I was told last week I had had a miscarriage because of heavy bleeding. I had u/s today and now this. Not sure what to think. Praying for a miracle or a natural miscarriage now versus later.
