  The dentist said after 3. Pedi said I can bring her to a pediatric dentist any time- he's been pushing a referral for a while. It's not high on my priority list, I'll bring her in eventually.

  Our pedi suggested at the earliest after 3 years old.

  I'm glad, because I'm in no hurry!  That is definitely a dreaded appointment!

  Yes, her first appointment was in January. She goes back in August.

  Our dentist said 1 but she didn't have any teeth! We are probably going to wait until closer to 3. We've been working with her to say "ahhhhhh" and show us her teeth but that's it.

  Ours said to schedule him anytime now just for a quick 15 min visit, just so he can get a quick look in his mouth (if possible)... he said they used to suggest 3, but then they were getting a ton of 3 y/o's with rotten teeth.   The ones by us recommend babies be seen by or around their first bday. DD's been twice. At the first one it was just a "fun" visit where they looked at her teeth. The second was more thorough but she didn't really cooperate. They didn't get very much from that one!

  Hey!  Thanks for asking.  I am finally feeling good.  M/S hit me hard and I had been on light duty until last week due to a cyst that has finally shrunk.  Thank goodness that is over, not that I could really comply with my OB's orders with a toddler : )

  Nick went only because we added him to the dental plan and figured he might as well go. Timmy didn't go until he was 3.

  Nick really wasn't willing to let them do much, The looked in his mouth and a quick cleaning.

  I am a Dental Hygienist and I would say 3 or maybe even 4 years old. 3 would be good to get them use to it but dont count on any cleaning or xrays to be done. I once had a 2 year old patient and it was a nightmare. I started tearing up because the Dentist kinda forced it and I kept thinking of my LO. If you dont have any concerns and take good care of LO's mouth like brushing and avoid sugary foods and things like that. I would say 3 or 3 and 1/2 is good age
