I like it. I've only ever see it spelled with a 'C' but maybe that was a weird spelling.
I'm not really sure how I'd spell it! We're waiting to find out the gender before deciding on a name, but if it's a girl I'll have lots of convincing my husband to like this name! I think it's about as unique (i.e. unpopular, lol) as Marin which is why I like it as a sibling name. I've seen it spelt "Cybill" too.
Not a fan. Makes be think of Sallie Fields in the movie Sybil - multiple personality disorder.

Ah...see I never saw that movie, so it makes me think of the youngest sister on Downton Abbey.
Gotcha. I know I have a bad association with the name, but in all honesty, I just don't think it makes a great sibset. I think Marin Olivia is a beautiful and feminine name. I just don't see that in Sybil.

Any suggestions? I have no ideas for girl names this time around...and suggestions for boy names, too. DH says it's too early to discuss names (I'm 5 weeks) but that's something fun to think about in the midst of wanting to puke all over and chasing a toddler around!

I like it, and I think it goes well with big sister's name.
It has a slightly negative connotation to me because of the movie... it makes me think multiple personalities as well. (I've never seen the movie, I just know of it... it was a book first and based on a real person.) But not enough to side eye anyone with the name or for me to give opinion not to use it.
Re: Sybil?
I absolutley love it.

I like Sybil and think it flows nicely with your other daughter's name.
Other suggestions could be - Julia, Tabitha, Adelaide, Elise, Fiona, Margot, Clarissa, Stephanie, Nadia.

This!!
I try very hard to not have such particular name associations, but this applies to me as well.
I also had a very crotchety elderly lady for a neighbor who was a Sybil.
One of those names that I hear and can envision nothing but a senior citizen.
I don't like it at all.
