Re: Expecting Moms Check In, Week of June 18

  • 1) How many weeks are you? 27 weeks today, hello third trimester!

    2) How are you feeling? Great, especially after the adjustment I just had.

    3) Any appointments this week? Nope, just had my weekly chiro appointment, but nothing else until next week.

    4) What's something you look forward to, once you're no longer pregnant? Drinking an entire, ice cold beer! I'm not usually someone who wants a beer, but there have been several times lately where I've craved that. An ice cold beer and pizza...mmm!  Plus, I noticed the occasional dark beer helped my milk supply with DS, so added bonus. :)

    1) How many weeks are you?

I am due Thursday. 39w5d, yo.

    2) How are you feeling?

Um, I had a crazy week. I was 2-3c, 70% and baby at -2 last Wednesday. Woke up Thursday with crazy chest pain under the right side of my ribs. Couldn't breathe deeply and couldn't lay down. Saw OB and was 3c, still 70%, baby had dropped to -1 station. He sent me to L&D for an NST and testing for pre-e and gallstones. I was there for seven goddamn hours to find that the pain was caused by air pockets in my chest cavity over my gallbladder. Lame. During the NST, the oncall OB noticed I was contracting regularly every ten mins and wanted me to walk to see if they would pick up. I wasn't really feeling them so said no, I wanted to go home. I continued to contract on and off that night. Friday night they were painful and every 10-15m; I thought that was it. They were gone Saturday. Lost my MP Saturday-Sunday. Chest pain was gone Sunday morning, yay! Sunday and Monday were good, quiet days with random non-painful contractions. Today, I'm having contrax every 10-15m again that are mildly painful, more achy in the ute and low back.

So, my anxiety level was sky high for a while. But I'm relaxed now and content to let baby cook. Prelabor is stressful, man, but I'm thrilled to know that I'll probably be 4cm or more by the time actual labor starts.

    3) Any appointments this week?

My 40w appointment is tomorrow and I'm expecting a membrane sweep and some talk about next week...I will probably have to make an appt for early next week, at which we will try another sweep and schedule the RCS for the 27th. Reeeeally hoping to not make it through this weekend!

    4) What's something you're looking forward to when you're no longer pregnant?

A few beers or glasses of wine. Sleeping comfortably without the crazy aching legs/hips. And, of course, meeting this little squish and having that special newborn bond again. And breastfeeding. So excited!

  • 1) How many weeks are you? 33 weeks...going by fast!

    2) How are you feeling? Still feeling really good, but the belly is getting BIG.

    3) Any appointments this week? Not this week.

    4) What's something you look forward to, once you're no longer pregnant?  Sugar!  I'm trying to follow a GD diet to do everything I can to keep this baby a normal size to better my VBAC chances.

skio - good luck this week/weekend.  I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you!

  • 1) How many weeks are you? 30 Weeks 2 days

    2) How are you feeling? Pretty good.  I have had a sore throat and cough the last week, so I'm hoping that clears up quickly!  I slept terribly last night, so I'm hoping for a nap or to just go to bed at 6pm tonight and sleep til morning!

I had a scare last week where I slipped down my stairs while carrying DS.  I was pretty sore on my tailbone, but never had any cramping or bleeding, and baby is moving fine, so all is good!

    3) Any appointments this week? Chiro appointment Thursday.  I am sure I need it after my fall!  My next OB appointment is not until July 3.  I keep having to reschedule because of work, so I really need to take my glucose test!

    4) What's something you look forward to, once you're no longer pregnant? Maternity leave!  Seriously though, I am looking forward to hard core workouts again.  Its getting uncomfortable to run at this point.

  • 1) How many weeks are you?  I am 26 weeks

    2)How are you feeling?

Feeling pretty good, just avoiding the summer heat as much as I can.

    3)Any appointments this week?

I had an appointment today for my GD testing, another one on 6/26 for ultrasound to make sure LO is developing ok. My dr will be relocating to another state by july 1st. Out of 6 doctors in the whole women center I go to only him & another dr will approve a VBAC. So I went with the other dr which would be ok with the idea of a VBAC. I am hoping she would give me the OK when I see her 7/10.

4)What's something you look forward to, once you're no longer pregnant?

Sushi & a glass of wine.

I don't usually post here often I am more of a lurker.

  • 1 How many weeks are you? 36 weeks and 1 day.
2 How are you feeling? Done. I hit the uncomfortable and nauseas stage yesterday. But otherwise not ready! I still have a couple things to make and the room to finish. Though those things are not necessary.
3 Any appointments this week? Had one yesterday. LO is in the 56th percentile and her stomach and head are measuring almost exactly the same which is excellent!
4 What's something you look forward to, once you're no longer pregnant?
Eating whatever whenever I want. Sleeping comfortably. Not having to pee every 5 minutes!
