Last day of school is finally tomorrow and I am looking forward to summer break but a little sad that everyone my kids would want to hang out with will barely be around. I am aSAHM and my one friend will be spending at least a month at her Moms house with the kids due to unplanned renovations and another SAHM is sending her kids to camp all summer and my the time they get home we will be winding down our day. I know it is normal but I am so bummed no one is going to be around. I will so things with the kids but was hoping to have some adult interaction occasionally as I have very little all school year and I really thought I would be able to see these families. And my BFF loves 2 hours away. Wahhhh. Ok I realize this not a big problem but I just found out today and am super bummed.

    That is a bummer! Do you guys have a neighborhood pool? Maybe you can make a mom friend there? Or at weekly story time at the library?

    I definitely know where you're coming from - as awesome as it is to be a SAHM (which I will get to be again in July - T&Ps & fingers crossed!), it's also nice to have adult interaction, as well as playmates for the kids!

    We have a pool so I cant spend the money. Like you said, I love being a SAHM but need to see an adult now and then.

    I'm in the same boat... I feel like the only adult interaction I get is online.

    I have signed the younger kids up for a reading group at the library but it's only for July.

    I was too late to sign them up for the summer church camp.. as we haven't attended church in over a month due to complications. It wasn't really camp.. more like a bible study but I think they would have had fun =/

    I also love being a SAHM but it can be very stressful at times. lol. I have heard about groups on FB just for SAHM's in certain areas, but have never looked into it.
