DH is leaving me

To go canoeing all weekend, that is.

It's an annual trip for alumni of his fraternity.  It's only like two hours north of here and is really no big deal.  I think I am getting a sitter for Charlotte on Saturday so my mom and I can go to the Parade of Homes.

Anybody else being ditched by their H this weekend?

    My husband is going on a bro-date with my friend's husband because I will not go with him to see World War Z.

    Don't scare me like that. We've had too much dh drama for 1 day.

    My dh doesn't ever go anywhere. I leave with the kids though and go up north and he stays and snuggles with the dog.

    Eh, DH doesn't really leave alone on the weekends. He went out on the river with his dad and uncle last week, so I would say we will be together this weekend.

    eta: I think you should totally go with a sitter to get out with your mom!

    DH had his mancation last weekend. Then he has been gone every night for summer basketball leagues. Ugh. I bet I've seen him a total of 10 hours this week.

    Don't do that!!  My heart dropped!  Yep, my DH is leaving us this weekend too.  He's going to Northern Wisconsin - 4 hours away for a bachelor party weekend.  On Saturday I have a bachelorette party on Lake Minnetonka and my cousin is going to watch DS for the day.  I opted out of the drinking and dancing portion of the bach party later at night...I would rather get some sun and go to bed at a decent time!
