DD party is from 10-12 at a farm. We will have cake. I wanted to have something else I was planning on slices of water melon, peanut butter&jelly triangles no allergies what else would u serve ???? 2 hr party kids will be busy pony rides, face painting , play in town, cake, gifts!!
i just don't want to throw a bunch if food away sitting in fl sun and I don't want to look cheap either help!!
Re: Party food help please
I'll give you the latina answer:
Rice, beans, fajitas, quesadillas, tacos.
All this stuff will be fine even in the sun for 2 short hours. You can just cover it!
If you don't want to cater then I would do simple sandwiches like turkey and cheese and put them on trays on top of ice- covered.

The Chick fil A nugget tray was a huge hit at DS1's 2nd bday. I got it for the kids and the adults ate most of them.
For two hours, I really wouldn't do much. Even when DS's birthday are 4 hours, I overestimate food and have a ton of leftovers. (Except for his past birthday party, where we had just enough)
I'd probably just do what PP said: sandwiches that you can cover and make a fruit salad that you can cover. That should be plenty for two hours, plus the cake.
I used to live near Melbourne!
I'd say throw in some chips but Animal Crackers are more delish. Sounds like a well rounded meal to me
