So, an acquaintance of DH and I (we graduated from a very small high school together, but don't stay in touch with her otherwise), is pregnant with her 5th child at the age of 27.
Last year, when she found out that her 4th was *another* girl, she posted on FB - "Well, it's another girl. Guess we'll be trying again this time next year."
So, fast forward to this year. She recently found out that #5 is a boy.
About a week ago, she posted as her status on FB:
"Thank you to ____ for throwing my shower today. I'm bummed I have such an awesome friend to throw me a shower, but no one to attend it. The people that don't show up don't matter, it's the ones that do."
Uh....people don't want to attend because you've had 5 kids in 8 years and everyone, invited to your shower or not, is "throwing you a shower" by paying into the public assistance program which supports your family.
Side note, I'm not anti-public assistance by any means when it's not abused. However, when you continue to procreate without any means to support your children, that's where I get annoyed.
Re: Check out this doozy...
No, no. This is too entertaining to block.
Agreed - I'd have to watch how this played out lol
Unfortunately no. I've been tempted to many a time.
I've thought about deleting her, but it's like a trainwreck you can't turn away from.
Earlier this year, she posted a photo and typed out a letter she received from her oldest child's school regarding missed days of school and how she was going to be fined if her child had any more missed days without a Dr's excuse. Mind you, you are allowed 15 "parent excuse" days per year around here. She had just gotten back from vacation in FL (right after tax refund time), and 3 days of their vacation were over the 15 day limit. So....her child missed 18 days of school (at least) without a valid excuse and she was b*tching about the school and saying that "she can't afford to take her child to the Dr. for every little sniffle or cough she needs to stay home for".......
Sounds like a prime candidate for mandatory sterilization.

She posted something today about having a garage sale next weekend to "get rid of baby girl stuff"......so who wants to take bets on the following options? -
1. She is done having children.
2. She wants all new stuff next time around, will presumably have a shower, then throw a fit when no one comes and she *gasp* has to buy her own stuff?
God, I'd hate to be her fourth daughter. Or second or third.
I know a few people like that who state to anyone who listen, "We're going to keep going until we get a girl/boy!" Holy effing shiit. How about you take what you get and be thankful?
