lo and pizza?

We've been trying to give dd pieces off what we're eating at dinner. Tonight is pizza night. Curious if anyone has had success with pizza? So you do bits or strips? Shes hood with toast and grilled cheese. Guessing this would be about the same for her.

At 20-week anatomy scan found IUGR (Intrauterine Growth Restriction), and very low Amniotic Fluid.  Now, I'm High Risk and have weekly ultrasounds to monitor fluid and growth.  If baby runs out of room or is too growth restricted, they will deliver ASAP.  My current goal is to make it to 28 weeks!

Re: lo and pizza?

  • My lo loves pizza. I typically just give him cheese I have not given him pepperoni's up to this point.

  • I give little bits of pizza. He hasn't figured out biting pizza yet like he bites toast.
  • If it is the part with the cheese, I either hold it for him to bite or would give small pieces.  I give him the crust to hold himself.  I just don't want him to get a big mouthful of melted mozzarella, that can be hard to manage.

  • I cut it in bite size pieces. No pepperoni but sausage shredded finer. No crust. Too many times I've had to fish it out because he was choking.

Thanks! I do vegetable pizza. But I'll probably just cut it into small pieces and see what she does with it. She likes toast and she likes cheese so I'm thinking she like pizza! I know I do!

  • We let her gnaw on the crust but only with homemade pizza. We offer the rest in tiny pieces.

  • I'll give him a strip of crust, but with the main part of the pizza (is there a name for that?) I tear it into little bites.

  • All these food posts make me stressed!!! My lo still doesn't do what we eat. He acts like i am trying to Feed him dirt. He's almost 11 months. He isn't that great of an eater. I don't think he loves food like a lot of babies. Ahh!!
  • We had cheese pizza for dinner tonight too! I offer him the crust for him to gnaw on and cut tiny bites for him to pick up himself. It's one of his favorite foods which works well for me since DD loves it too and it's a quick meal to make!

  • We do it in bite size pieces. He doesn't get biting it, maybe because it isn't crunchy like the toast? I don't know, but just for safety we do bite size pieces.
