i gave my ds 1 oz of prune juice yesterday afternoon and another ounce a few hours ago...in your experience, how long does it take to help them have a decent poop? i've also avoided any other foods that are constipating for several days...
I never had much luck with the prune juice. My pedi told me to dilute it with water and I don't think she drank enough for it to make a difference. I have given her a jar of stage 1 prunes and in 4 hours she had a massive blowout.
yep avoid BRAT (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast). have you also tried giving 2oz of water and 2oz of apple juice during the day?: that should also help.
good luck

I read an ounce for every month the child is (this was when she was four months) - I have given her 2- 4 ounces and within a few hours its helped - I've given her 2-4 ounces for days and had no blow outs as well
Warm baths.. pears, prunes, peas, pumpkin, peaches and I've heard a lot of people have good luck with blueberries.
Honestly? We got approved and started using miralax
Nothing works for us and los poops aregetting harder and harder. I was told to stay away from solids that constipate, but that would be every last one. I am calling pedi next week for miralax
