recommend swim diapers

Are you using swim diapers or just using a regular diaper?  I've used the pampers swim diapers and I see that it does nothing to hold urine in numerous cases (dumb me).  Is there another swim diaper that can hold pee too?

Hope you have a fun summer day!

Regular diapers will swell up and probably will bust.

  • Target carries cloth swim diapers that have a little bit of padding. Charlie banana is the name brand.

All swim diapers (cloth or disposable) are only designed to hold feces. None of them absorb urine. If they absorbed urine they would also absorb water and they would become heavy and weigh down the child wearing them. Disposables could also burst and create a huge mess.

We use i-play reusable (cloth) swim diapers.

  • Swim diapers are not supposed to hold pee. Their only purpose is to hold poop. That's why with a child who is not potty trained, you change them into the swim diaper immediately before you enter the pool and then diaper them right away when you're done. I like the iPlay reusable swim diapers.

No, swim diapers generally don't hold pee well. They are not to be used in car seats or under clothes; only for swimming. A regular diaper will swell ridiculously and end up spewing gross gel everywhere.

Best bet is a reusable swim diaper like iplay or finis. They still don't hold pee very well, but they're better than the disposables.
