I slept well . Mom helped sort through and put away clothes (mine) today. Parents finished cooking food for our freezer stash and now I'm just lying around with my sister who is staying until next week to help me .
IVF (BCPs starting 10/30/12, ER 11/18/12, 5dt of 1 beautiful, healthy embryo 11/23/12)
BFP 12/02/12, u/s @ 6w,5d showed 2 HBs! Identical twins!!
Bed rest from 21w-35w due to short cervix, hospital bed rest from 23w-32w due to PTL
Our rainbows were born 07/19/13 (36w, 5d)
Weirdly enough, I can't see the first post to this...
It feels good to be home, but rough night of sleep. I had a lot of m/s dreams and kept getting up to check. Hope that passes! Taking it one day at a time and grateful for every moment.
Happy day to everyone and best of luck with any appointments.
Morning ladies. I'm battling a headache that has been lingering for the last two days... Hoping it goes away soon! I think it may be due to cross contamination in the kitchen as I have a gluten allergy that gives me migraines, so I had a meeting with the dietician here at the hospital this morning to make sure every precaution is being taken... Other than that, nothing new. Trying to decide what crafts I want to order to keep me busy these next couple months. Boredom has officially set in lol. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
Just returned from our u/s. it went well. Babies passed with 8/8. So I peed in a cup and we drove home. The drive is excruciating. I feel light headed and achy. So that should be extra fun during labor!
Ive been moving a little more as we get closer to 34 weeks. This transition will be tough, but hopefully quick.
77 days of strict bed rest down. 11 days left. 20 days until I ditch the stitch! I cannot believe I've been here that long. Hope you ladies have a great day!
Married to my dream husband
Mom to 2 year old BG twins (Incompetant cervix, cerclage, and LOTS of bed rest)
I'm mobile at the moment so it's hard to respond to all PP, but wanted to say Gl to appointments, I feel you on the headaches, and bed rest milestones are a huge inspiration to me.
I was able to come home this morning on strict bed rest. I'm nervous since I can't take any oral medication for contractions and still having some contractions. I'm going to stay in bed and stay calm. Praying I can stay here baking my girls for several weeks! Cervix wasn't too affected by this week's events which I'm so grateful for. They're saying it's around 2.6 or a little shorter with pressure applied which simulate what happens when I sit up or walk. DH is trying the arrange the house for a sbr wife. It's quite the adjustment, but I'm blessed with many that want to help.
Question and story for you all.... At my partners work there is a woman that is pregnant with twins. ANYWAYS.... My partner just got the work email invite for this womans shower. She got really bummed out that she is home on bedrest and wont be able to have the same sort of thing herself. I feel bad and can understand why she feels dissapointed. Luckily we have our own shower coming up, but I can understand it brings back the pain of not having a "normal" pregnancy, not being able to get out, not having people ask how you are or see them be excited for you, or have a work shower. How have you all delt with this sort of thing even when you know it's whats right for you and the babies? Does it just get easier with time?
I understand the feeling. I missed out on having a work shower as well. But after my son was born we received a big box of things from toysrus from my colleagues. I still missed the fun of the shower but it was nice to get the package in the mail and know people were still thinking of me after I'd been out on bedrest for over 2 months. Hopefully someone at your partner's work has the same good idea. : )
I also missed my own shower. It does get easier with time. After the babies come it becomes more of a small regret like oh it's a shame I missed that rather than a physical longing/hurt (if that makes sense).
As far as being excited for you, just wait until you bring the twins in to work! My colleague brought in twins last year and it was like he was giving away puppies. There's just something about two little babies

Thursday is my favorite day of the week, because it means I am halfway through my week and the weekend is coming. 34 weeks on Monday!
Was a bit stressed about potential amnio dye test but nurse pointed out that if they still really thought I'd ruptured they would not have reduced NSTs from daily to MWF. I don't know if that's true but it made me feel better. Which is good bc my pulse had been racing (115 instead of 80 ) I'll just have to wait until Monday (I hope) to find out.
A friend asked me today if I was excited about the babies coming. And I realized that I'd been so worried about them coming early that I had forgotten that this is exciting and not just stressful. I'm glad she asked and I remembered. Soon we will have two little babies
Inn and staceymack congrats on going home; CNYBride I'm jealous your day sounds divine; congrats MrsCaseyK and wallace on good u/s; kaleigh I hope HBR gets easier, and aiche hope your appt went well!

Wallace, I can relate. I had all these visions early in pregnancy of celebrations that now won't come to pass. It is a little depressing. However, at the end of each day I am growing more accepting to the fact that things aren't going as planned and high risk is my reality. Hopefully, people will visit and raise her spirits. My supervisor is coming next week and bringing gifts.
Nantucket, I'm glad you got a little reassurance. I hope the weekend goes by quickly for all of us!
