I am new to the high risk board!! I am 27 weeks and I am in bedrest in the hospital, hopefully able to go home to continue bedrest there. They are saying I will be here through Sunday.
Here's my backstory: I started having spotting at 21 weeks, went to hospital had big ultrasound lots of exams where they found nothing wrong. I went home next day. 2 days later I was gushing blood for about 15 minutes. Went back to hospital, still couldn't find ANY reason for the bleeding. Sent me home on modified bed rest, no lifting.
Monday night I started to feel a little sick and went into the bathroom where I gushed blood for about 20 minutes. I also got very faint and started vomiting. My husband call 911 for an ambulance bc I wasn't responding to anything and couldn't keep my head up. TMI alert... I also apparently was having uncontrollable diahreah, which was lovely. My blood pressure was at 70/40, heart rate at almost 200.
I got to ride in a helicopter to the hospital, by the time I got there everything was back to normal, no more bleeding.
I have had several exams and ultrasounds since Tuesday, and baby is still growing great and is very strong!! She hasn't been affected by any of this, which is amazing!!
The unfortunate part is that they still don't have a firm idea of where the bleeding is coming from. It's not a previa, and they haven't seen anything that looks like an abruption. I'm not dilated at all and have never had any cramps or contractions through and of the bleeding episodes! This will be my third pregnancy, we have two boys at home. I have never had any problems with either pregnancy.
Sorry this is all so long, I was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of anything like this? I feel very discouraged after speaking to several specialists and obs and still not getting any complete answers!!
Also, I'm heartbroken about being away from my other 2 kiddos!! I know I'm where I need to be, but as a stay at home mom I'm having a very difficult time with this!
I'm really hoping to find some great support here, thank you ladies for listening to my long ramble!!
Re: New here...
So sorry you are going through this, I hope they find a cause for it too. I had a sudden bleed when I was 24 weeks pregnant with my first, prior to this I had a very normal pregnancy, DF was out football training at the time so I just grabbed a towel and called an Ambulance, I was bleeding from about 7pm that night right through to the next day, they did an u/s and baby was fine, moving around etc and decided to keep me in for observation. But as it happens I started to have contractions and by 6.15am the following day my waters broke and I had my little girl breach. The moral of my story is they never found out why this happened and to this day I still go over that night and do my own research to try and find out what it could have been, I think the not knowing is so frustrating, because if the doctors knew it would mean they could maybe do something about it and give you some piece of mind that this is likely to not happen again or tell you that it will etc.
So glad your little one is doing well, it sounds like you have both been through a lot do far.
