End of year daycare gifts

Been mostly a lurker on the board but have a question about gifts for daycare providers.

this is the last full week my son will be going to daycare for the summer. The is a chance if my husband gets a new job he won't be coming back to this daycare next school year, after going for almost 3 years. Want to get the teachers end of hear gifts. He has two primary teachers who he adores ( has been with them in some aspect all three years) and then two teachers that are only there part time. Any suggestions one what to get them? Was thinking slightly nicer/ bigger for primary teachers.

Re: End of year daycare gifts

  • For my daugter's preschool teachers, I did Amazon gift cards--$25 for the primary teacher, and $15 for each of the assistants (2), and $15 for the aftercare teacher (DD stayed two days a week for aftercare).

She will be going back in a few weeks for the summer camp sessions and then in the fall for school, but I just wanted to do something nice because I really appreciate all they do and she absolutely adores all of them.

Will baby #3 be another girl?

  • End of year gifts we did giftcards for daycare teachers. DS graduated from his public school special ed program that he's been in for 3 years. His teachers there mean so much to us that a gift card simply wouldn't suffice. I instead wrote a very detailed and meaningful letter to the superintendent explaining how much they mean to our family and why they are such great teachers. The letter was very well received!
  • We just left an in-home daycare.  We gave her a $25 giftcard to a chain of theaters, cookies, a card thanking her and potted flowers.

  • DS is only 6 months old so we have yet to have an end of the year/Christmas time. He goes to an in home d/c and she watches about three other kids full time and another 3 part time. About once a month I'll bake chocolate chip cookies or something and take them on Monday for her and the kids (I checked to ensure no one has allergies or anything).

We also took her a Valentine's Day box of chocolates and a card.

For Christmas I'm sure we'll do something nice, I'm not sure what yet...it will either just be a "bonus" of cash or some gift cards.

    Henry Cavill...You're welcome!
