I have to do the 3 hr on Monday. I really hope I don't have GD. Also I am 30 wks and was told by US tec and my dr that baby boy is measuring about 3wks ahead. This is all new to me, my first always measured a few days behind.

Did any of you also fail your 1hr and then pass the 3 hr?

Lots of people fail the 1 hour and then pass the 3 hour. That said, if you have GD its really not that bad. I switched some things around like not having fruit at breakfast, and I have to check my blood sugar 4 times/day, but I dont eat that differently.

Just got my 3 hour results back today, and passed with flying colors! My 1 hour result was 148, and my highest on the 3 hour was 135 (cutoff was 147). I failed the 1 hour and passed the 3 hour during my last pregnancy too.

Lots of women fail the 1 hour and go on to pass the 3 hour, so try not to stress out too badly just yet.

I failed my 1 hour on Monday and I am doing my three hour on Saturday. My doctor told me not to panic and that only 15% of people will fail the three hour, so chances are you will pass!

Isn't 30w late to be having the glucose test? My dr makes sure we have it NLT 28w.

But yes, a lot of people fail the 1 hour and pass the 3 hours.

I've done 2 1 hr tests. Both were fine as I was never told anything. Then last month the nurse out of nowhere told me I had GD. First I was told. I asked my doc last week and he said no but wants me to check my levels for a couple of weeks and give him the results. Found out he is measuring a week ahead now. My levels are normal so not sure why I have to do it.
