I stopped working at 37 weeks and went info labor at 37 weeks 4 days. I guess my body was ready.

  • 38 weeks 3 days cause I was tired of dealing with my miserable coworkers
  • I worked until the day my water broke. It was horrible but now that he's here I'm so happy I didn't waste any maternity leave without my sweetheart
  • I worked really close to the end with both boys because I knew when they'd be born (induction turned csection with the first and RCS this time).  For me, I didn't want to waste time at home before they were born.  With my first I was almost two weeks late so if I had stopped at 39 weeks I would have lost almost 3 whole weeks with him.

  • I stopped the end of may because school ended...

  • I have 6 weeks vacation and sick time saved up. So whatever I use before should be replaced with short term disablity (60% of pay) after I use all my vacation and sick time.
  • I worked until 3:00 pm the day I went into labor.  I was trying to work until 5:00 but the contractions were getting too strong.  I had my son the next morning at 1:55 am.

  • I stopped working at 39 weeks. I wish I had kept going since I am now overdue and being induced this weekend.
  • I planned on working until 41 weeks if I didn't go into labor before. I went into labor 40 weeks 2 days so last day was 40 weeks 1 day. I was exhausted, but I knew it would drive me nuts to sit at home and wait when I could have been making more money to help when I'm on mat leave. It really depends on your work. If your body is done it'll let you know :-)

  • I was actually at work while I was in labor, lol. It was really early labor and I wasn't sure if it was "the real thing" or not, so I went in anyway. I had contractions all day at work and went to the hospital at midnight. :)

  • I stopped working at 38 weeks.  I have a desk job but pregnancy has been very difficult on me. I planned to work pretty much until delivery but my body had other ideas.
  • I'm due June 27th and my last day of work is June 28th. I have secretly been hoping baby comes this week so I don't have to work next week but I feel like that is not going to happen as I've had no labor symptoms whatsoever.

  • I stopped at 38 weeks. My goal was to finish out the school year, but the heat condition in my class left me incredibly swollen and sick by the end of the day.
  • I worked the day before I went into labor.  I was actually scheduled a 2 to 10:30pm closing shift the actual day I went into labor and felt bad because I ended up having to have my manager cover 2 weeks worth of my shifts.  I had my DD at 38 weeks so it was a bit unexpected!
  • I'm 40w5days and going into work in just a little bit. Yeah, it sucks but I can make it. Scheduled to be induced Monday so Friday will be my last day and I'll have all my 12 weeks with LO. You have to do what's right for you. I stayed home this Monday and was going crazy waiting for the baby. For me working helps the time pass.

Also, I'm a physical therapist and I feel better moving than sitting so staying active at work is perfect for me. Good luck!

  • My RCS is next Thursday, and my last day of work will be Tuesday. I don't want to waste what little paid time I have before she's here.

  • I started working exclusively from home on Tuesday of this week (due June 26th).  Expecting to go late so I didn't request my maternity leave to start until July 3rd.  Definitely hoping LO comes before then though...
  • I stop working at 37 weeks. My company has pregnancy disability for 4 weeks before birth. My daughter was born at 40 weeks. I had 3 weeks to get things ready, rest and spend time with my older son.
