My cousin just got married again and when I RSVP for the wedding, she told me that they were doing potluck style dinner instead of catering and a card tree instead of a registry. She told me to bring our favorite dish, so I responded back and said because the wedding on Father's Day that we could only make the wedding and could not make the reception. Shouldnt that request been on the invitation? My whole family had the same idea, we all went to the wedding but not the reception. If you do not have money to feed your guests, then have a smaller wedding or get married at the courthouse. It wasnt even a big wedding anyways, 50 people maybe. I guess what really pissed me off is that she is my age and blew thru her 1.2 million dollars inheritance and now is broke asking people on Facebook to help pay for her wedding gown, a two month photography course trip in Europe, and to bring a dish to her own wedding! No thanks.
Re: Vent: cousins wedding
haha this was my exact face
Uh, yeah. Exactly.
I wouldn't even go to the wedding.
Wow, just wow.
I agree with PP...I wouldn't even go...
and how does someone blow through a million dollars? I could live off the interest for the rest of my life!
This.
I don't even. Have. Words.
My thoughts exactly! I worked my butt off and worked three jobs throughout college so I could graduate debt free and her and her first husband just coasted thru the money. Smart man by the way, no prenup and he got half.
Wow...just........wow.....
::double winky face::
WOW
Just the fact that it was planned for Father's Day, I would be side-eyeing her... never mind the rest of that mess.
