When did you/do you plan to potty train your DS? Mine is only 19 months but says "butt" after he poops, says pee pee and points to the potty when I'm in the bathroom. Just considering trying...
We introduced the potty around 15 months and he was using it (not regularly) by 17 months. We didn't officially potty train (completely diaper free) until 26 months.
With my first- I started sitting her on the potty at 12 months. Basically let her get the play/novelty out of the potty. She started to use it by 18 months and was good by 24 ish.
With my DS, I've started having him sit on his potty. This weekend i am going to be brave and have him wear only underware no diaper and have him start to feel the wetness. I've noticed that he will go and hide while he poops. So he is aware of it. So I figure...let try.
We are in the thick of it. He started asking to go #2 on the potty around 13-14 months and now finally knows the feeling of having to urinate, and will usually ask then. I am taking care of a ten year old boy this summer, or we'd start serious (3 day naked for my LO) training, but will wait until September because I am sure the other kid doesn't want to see that, OR get peed on himself.
DS has started yelling PEE as he's going and refusing to put a diaper on. We started introducing the potty seat and it's going well. We're not pushing it, but he's at least getting the concept.

I'm glad there have been so many posts on this recently and that I'm not the only one who's discovered children are capable before 2
To answer your question, we introduced the potty to the bedtime routine at 8 months and waking home time is mostly diaper free now - DD whines a lot if she's about to have an accident, so that's progress I guess. We'll finish it up as soon as daycare gets on board.
