What to expect at my 39 week appt?

All my appts have been pee in a cup, weight, blood pressure, measure the stomach, heart beat, done.  It's over in ten minutes and then I schedule another appt.  I am 39 weeks 3 days today - I am due on Sunday.  Is there anything else that I should insist on today?

    I also am due on Sunday and have my 39 week appointment today and I think the doctor is going to do an internal in addition to all the stuff above.  I am also going to ask her if she has a guesstimate of LO's size.

    We are due date twins and older daughter twins lol!! But I had my 39 week yesterday and exactly what you described happened. Except, I got my membranes swept and we talked shortly about being overdue and possible induction if I go over. We talked induction for July 1 and we touched briefly on BC after baby.

    I have mine today too, although I'm not due until Tuesday.  I'm bringing my STD paperwork for them to fill out (planning on starting leave as of Friday so only 2 more days of work...YAY!).  He might talk about going over my due date today, although I know for sure he'll bring it up Monday at my 40 week appt.  I think with DD he touched on it at 39 weeks, but then we scheduled the following week when I was overdue.

    I'm due on Monday and had my 39 wk yesterday.
    You should be getting the internal exam as well so they can make sure LO's head is down, how much effaced they are and how many cm's your cervix is.
    They can guesstimate based on that exam how big LO is but there's no guarantee.
    Talk about whether/not you want to be induced if you go past your due date or how long you want to wait.

    Yes  I know!!  LoL

    I don't necessarily want to be induced, but I want a firm date in case I do go past Sunday.  Ugh!

    My OB doesn't do internal exams until you are in active labor or there are complications, so I'm fairly certain they won't do this today.

    So how far past your EDD were you when you scheduled an induction with your first?

    Exactly! I'm not banking on the induction and don't want it BUT I have an end date in sight just in case LOL!

    Honestly, not very.  I was due on a Wed. and I think I had my 40 week appt on a Thurs or Fri.  I was scheduled to go in on Monday night right before the nurse shift change to start cervadil.  I had DD Tuesday early afternoon. I'm anticipating the same thing happening this time bc I have absolutely no signs this baby wants to come out. I'll have an internal today, but I don't expect anything at all. Of course, anything can happen between now and Tuesday! But I'm not expecting it.

    I have my 39 week appointment today.  I will start out with an ultrasound to check LO's estimated size.  Last week, my doc thought LO was getting big, which would potentially jeopardize my ability to have a successful vaginal delivery, but since they can't do anything until 39 weeks, she scheduled the ultrasound for today.  I'm nervous to see what the doc wants to do, nervous about induction, but I can't wait to meet LO, too!

    I have my 40 week appointment today. The only different thing I expect from what you mentioned above is possibly talking about an induction date since my doctor doesn't want me to go over 41 weeks.

    I had my 39 week appt. today. Typical routine stuff like you mentioned, only this time she asked me how I felt on being induced. I am not for it at all, as I had a bad experience with my first baby being induced. She said we will wait another 6 days and give LO a little more time to show up on his own. If I am still pregnant by Tuesday- which is my next appt. we will induce as I have GD, and my BP has been elevated, but not enough for it to be a sign of PreE.

    She talked to me about natural ways to get things going- which I will be doing for the next few days. We also talked about circ. for LO, and if I am to be induced the steps she will take depending on how my cervix is. She also said she will do an internal next week to see how my cervix is.
