Jogging stroller

I got a jogging stroller that I can put the car seat in, but the stroller's seat also reclines way back. I'm not jogging, just walking, so our walk is actually smoother now than it was with the graco stroller.

I'm wondering if it's better to use the carseat or put LO in the stroller reclined. And if the answer is still the carseat, when is the jogging seat okay? He is 12 weeks old and still throws his head around a lot.

If you're not jogging, I see no reason why you can't use the actual seat. The only reason I would continue to use the carseat is if I had driven somewhere for the walk.

With DD2, she was in the stroller seat by 2 1/2 months, and only reclined a little bit. I used a rolled up receiving blanket to help her keep her head steady, and she loved being able to sit up and see everything. (We were at a country fair, so there was LOTS to see. :)

  • We use ours for walks all the time. LO is eight weeks but we have been using it since four weeks. It lays flat and we added a head support. She loves it.

As I said in my original post, I used rolled up receiving blankets tucked on one or both sides. I would guess that you could probably also unsnap the one from your carseat (if it came with one) and attach it to the stroller as well. FWIW, all of my kids have had pretty good head control by 2 and 1/2 months, which is when I started using the stroller alone, and I also did not have a jogging stroller...just the regular ol' bumpy one that came with my travel system.

Eta: Sorry about the multiple posts! I'm on my tablet and it wasn't responding properly
