I am a school counselor. I told myself we could afford for me to take 8 weeks off, so the soonest I can be pregnant is July 5th, as I'm hoping maternity leave runs into summer break, etc.
Up until March my cycles were running 35 days long, ovulating on day 22. All of the sudden in March and April, they dropped to 28 days, O on day 15. For June, we were back at 31 days, O on day 18.....
So based upon my "history" I'm due to ovulate some time between July 3rd and July 7th. So I *might* be TTC this month, and I might not...I know the smart thing to do is wait, but it's so close that it becomes a whole month of waiting. What would you do?
Re: A cycle VENT
I get "trying" to time your pregnancy around summer break, but really two days is going to blow your plan? What if it takes 6 months to get pregnant? What if you get pregnant on July 5th like you planned and your baby is born early?
When I first started TTC, I planned on having a baby in May..... of 2012. I quickly realized that TTC is one of those things that you can't always plan. We are coming up on 2 years of TTC and will probably move on to IVF if our current cycle (IUI #4) is a bust. Let me tell you none of this was in my "plan."
TTC #1 since August 2011

Sure, I know that things most definitely don't always go as planned in this department.
I guess I wanted to hear that others would feel the same as me- it's just a few days, what they hey ho???
