WWYD? (NBR)

So a few months ago DH, DD, and I moved into a 2 bedroom apt in a new construction building. It has ten floors; the top has a view of NYC (not ours! haha, I don't care about it anyway). So a couple on the tenth floor posted an invitation in the elevator for whomever would like to come for drinks to stop by and see the fireworks. I thought that was so nice! What does DH say? "They probably want to try to sell us something, or give out business cards." Riiight. So now I don't know. WWYD? I figured my mom could hang out while M sleeps, then I could trade places with her so she can see some fireworks too (she will probably choose to sleep instead!)

We used to do that in our old building as a way to get to know the neighbors, it eventually turned into a monthly neighbor get together. They might be new to the area?

I'd go with DH. Bring drinks. I bet it is just a "get to know your neighbors" kind of thing, and so they can be social without having to leave their house!

But if it is weird or they bring out the Tupperware, just leave.
