I've had in my mind that a light tan/khaki color on 3 walls with a navy accent wall would be a great gender neutral nursery. Bedding is the Harper collection from PBK white with navy grosgrain ribbon. Since baby gender is a surprise, figured we'd accent in pink or lime after baby.
So today my husband kindly painted the three walls tan they were a sky blue from prev. owner and was waiting on me for the navy paint. Problem? I can't stand the color in that room. I feel so guilty now that he's painted it, but with our oak trim and doors and the light from the ceiling fan I feel like the room is dated/too boyish/too dark. I'm pretty sure that I can't live with it...
Someone else has to have oak trim in their nursery, or have design skills. Please advise! What color would you paint a nursery with oak trim while keeping it gender neutral??
Re: Help, Please! Nursery color with oak trim, wall color?!
We have oak, and used a light grey color. It looks really nice. Just stay away from blue-undertone grey's.

I really like how your color came out! We have oak trim as well. What brand and color gray did you use for yours?
