What cycle are you in and where are you at in your cycle?
Do you have a question, brag or vent to share with the group this week?

Re: TTC Tuesday Check-In 06/18/13
What cycle are you in and where are you at in your cycle? 3rd cycle TTA, CD10

No real updates on the TTC front. We tabled discussing TTC until after our vacation, which was last week. It was truly awesome to have a break from TTC, but I don't think it has actually helped me figure out what I want to do in the long term. ::sigh::
Oh and of course everyone in the family we saw last week wanted to know when we were giving DS a sibling. I told them he already has three furry ones.
I'm already known as the crazy dog-lady, so I might as well enjoy it!
QOTW: What's your favorite way to relax?
Well, besides, obviously, drinking...I like running, reading, knitting (only simple stuff though) or listening to music turned up loud.
What cycle are you in and where are you at in your cycle? 8th cycle 2WW 14DPO
Do you have a question, brag or vent to share with the group this week? I tested early at 11DPO with a BFN. The last two days my temp is slowly starting to drop. Unless I see a spike I wont be testing and I'm pretty sure I'm out this month. Of course I'm bummed, but also starting to feel not so depressed about it. At this point I think it will be more of a surprise to get pregnant than to see a BFN.
QOTW: What's your favorite way to relax? I enjoy a nice long bath, glass of wine, and a book.DD 12.2010
What cycle are you in and where are you at in your cycle? Cycle 4, CD16
Do you have a question, brag or vent to share with the group this week? I'm using OPKs for the first time this cycle and I think it's totally confusing me. Yesterday at 9am I had a + OPK, but at 9pm yesterday and 9am this morning I had very negative (barely a line) OPKs. Is that possible? I thought they slowly faded LOL. My temp is still plateaued, though, so I'm guessing O might happen today? If so, wouldn't my OPK still be +?
I really, really wish I could erase all my knowledge on temping, charting, OPKs, etc and just relax and "let it happen naturally." That's how DH wants it, and I WISH I could go with that... I think I'm too much of a control freak.
QOTW: What's your favorite way to relax? With a book, snuggled under the covers in bed. Thanks GG!
Heyitsme - I'm still new to the charting thing but the last 2 cycles I'll get some +OPKs with no temp rise. Then about a week later a few more +OPKs before getting my temp rise confirming O. It seems like I'll get + then a negative before my temp rise. (Hopefully that makes sense) But yea I expected the line to gradually fade too. When it's done it's done I guess. GL!

@heyitsme - Everyone's different, but the hormone the OPK detects generally surges 24 to 48 hours before ovulation. Some people have a slow build up and fade, others have an abrupt positive, followed by negatives. Also, time of day and how much you've been hydrating can also have an effect on the test.
I would say anytime you get a positive to try to go for it at least EOD until your chart confirms you've O'd. GL!
QOTW: What's your favorite way to relax?
Reading and watching movies!
Do you have a question, brag or vent to share with the group this week? This is my first month charting. I am temping but no OPKs. I think I saw a distinct temp spike ( although that was also the night ai got very little sleep, but stayed up for a few days.) My o date was ealier than I had been thinking it was. DH left for a trip right around that time so we might have missed it but at least I know.2 questions1. I signed up for fertility friend. I am liking it. They are trying to get me to sign up for the VIP Membership. Do you pay or just use the free services?2. Do you drink alcohol during the 2ww. I am not trying to start a debate just curious. I usually do not but this month and next I am flying during this time. I am a really nervous flyer and a glass of wine really helps my neves and makes the flight more enjoyable for everyone especially DH becuase I am not jumping in my seat and killing his hand. Also during the 2ww both times I am a work conference. Lots is networking and happy hours. Thoughts. I do not drink a lot becuase I know I have a low tolerance level.

I love to read.
Team drink 'till it's pink here, 100%! I try to keep life as normal as possible while TTC (drinking, eating, exercising, traveling etc.). I am really glad I have because it's been two years, and I would be losing my mind now if I gave up everything you have to give up for pregnancy for that long.
It's a personal choice, so obviously up to you, but I have read up on it, and I'm 100% comfortable drinking when TTC.
@Cheekers - Sorry the diabetes is giving you a hard time. That sucks!
I think DH and I are going to cut back on the carbs hardcore this summer. I already have the elevated risk because of having GD, and it runs in DH's family very strongly on both sides (like both parents and all his aunts), so it was a good wake-up call that we need to manage our lifestyle now.
Good luck with everything!
Thanks GG. It sucks hardcore, but all I can do is control what I can: diet and exercise. GL to you with the carb stuff. It's hard!
That's exciting! Do you know when your next try will be?
Pool league sounds fun. I am a terrible pool player, but it's always a fun way to socialize.
I think we will try in December and/or Janurary. I have the meds already, so we could bump it up but I always wanted a Sept. or October baby...it will separate everyone's Bdays out well LOL.
I love that pool is something that you get better at with practice...and that it is played in a bar, drinking makes anything more fun LOL

Just a quick work vent. They came up with new paperwork to request and liquidate travel. That's fine. Except that the forms are protected. So you have to print out the forms, white out the placeholder information (like the generic $0.00 in currency fields), and then hand write your information in. Seriously. Who publishes new forms without testing them first. Oh, and the pre-filled mileage reimbursement rate isn't even current. But of course, if you use the old forms (that you can complete electronically and that will auto populate relevant info) then they'll reject them because they're not current. AHHHHHH!!!!!QOTW: What's your favorite way to relax?
Dancing around the house, reading, treating myself to a pedicure or massage (only about once a quarter). Oh, and add me to the drinking clubBFP #2 5/27/12. EDD 2/1/13. m/c and D&C 6/21/12.
Oh, kj, tons of luck and FX for whenever you decide to test.
That sounds like paperwork hell for sure!
