Our NT scan was today ... everything was perfect. I was surprised at how baby-like are little baby is compared to 2 weeks ago! It's simply amazing. Baby's heart rate was 164 and baby was wiggling all over the place. So cool. The u/s tech gave us her educated guess of what baby is (she's been doing this for 25 years) ... and she thinks girl. However, I'm definitely not running out and buying anything gender specific until it's confirmed at our 20 week. Also, baby was measuring one day ahead at 12w3d. So right on track!

I've been meaning to ask you for an update on the fires near your home. Did you have to evacuate? I might have missed an update about this.

Yay for a tech who will make a guess! I'm going to try to get a guess at mine in a few weeks. I think you are having a girl, simply from that super high heartbeat you have in your siggy from last time. My friend's dad is an OBGYN and he said that is one of the only "old wives' tales" he's seen been right more often than not.
The NT scan was my favorite u/s when I was pregnant with DS. I'm really looking forward to mine in a couple of weeks, especially since it will be the first one I'm having for this pregnancy.

Thanks! Everything with the fire turned out fine. They were able to get it contained. It's still smoldering in places and when the wind blows we get that awful smoke smell! But other than that, we're a-ok!

Interesting! lol, I know my husband will hope you're wrong! haha. He wants a boy. I had a lot of fun with my daughter and all the cutesy things I could do with her, however, I don't really have a preference either way.

Ah, I didn't think so.
I live 20 miles north of the huge fire last week that burned over 500 homes here. Fire scares me. Stay safe!
