Baby is 10wks old. He feeds every 1-2 hours during the day and 3-6 hours at night. When I am with him, I feed on demand. Sometimes he'll actually feed 3 separate times in the same hour. I have overactive letdown, so my milk flows really fast. I just started back at work a week ago, and I work Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays. I'm only pumping twice at work and getting an easy 12 oz. (I'm worried the pumping is making my overactive letdown worse, so I have not pumped a third time). I have a close friend watching him in the mornings and she has 2 of her own kids (3yo and 1.5 yo), and my sister is watching him in the afternoons (she has another nanny job in the mornings). He sometimes takes the bottle really well and other times, he's upset by it. The problem is that he wants to 'snack' with them too. He will eat 1/2 oz every half hour or so and occasionally go an hour or two. Is there a good way to space out his feedings with them? Should I try reverse cycling? Is it bad that I feed him on-demand on my days off (every other day)? What's the best way to get him on an easier schedule for them? I really love the way they both parent and do not want to put him in daycare.
