Re-gifting

I'm of the mind that if it's something I think someone else will enjoy/use I think it's OK.  For example my cousin recently had a baby and I knew she did not receive a lot of books at her baby shower.  So I bought her daughter 5 board books and also threw in 1 we received as a gift, but already owned.  Anybody else do this, what are your thoughts on it?

Re: Re-gifting

  • As long as it's still in the packaging, is undamaged, and you don't mention that it's a regift, there's really no problem.

  • I regift all the time. I'm just careful it's not obvious, lol

  • I get lots of gifts at the holidays and end of the school year that I return or regift.  Just make sure it is new/current season.

  • I regift kid presents all the time.  DD receives so many presents, and even some duplicates of stuff from relatives, I either regift or donate.  As long as it's new, unopened, and age appropriate, I don't think it's a big deal.
