AHHHH! Seriously why are there so many options? I have the list of seats that fit mine and hubby's car but that's not helping really. Baby is tall and of course that means I need one that's going to fit in my car and still be able to be used for a while rear facing for my tall guy. He was 29" and 19.2lbs at his 6 month appointment a month ago and I'm pretty sure he's still growing an inch a month.
At this point it looks like we might have to get one for each car. The Graco Comfortsport was on both lists but wasn't recommended since I guess most average size kids grow out of it by 2. Someone suggested the Graco My Ride 65 and this is on my cars list but not hubby's list. I'm sure it would fit in hubby's Xterra and the only real issue is getting one that fits in my Cube properly.
Any suggestions? I'm feeling overwhelmed here .
Re: Convertible Car Seat shopping
Well how awesome would that be
. I'll have to check this out and see if mine will let me
.
And Kiraliz, I think I'm beginning to see that we'll need two but it would have to be purchased a month apart. Guess I need to get with the program while he still fits the infant seat and buy them. I was hoping to find that might be easy to just switch but I'm guessing most of them aren't made for that.
I was super overwhelmed too. But DH moves the seat if he ever needs to take dd1. It takes him two minutes. We ended up giving his to mil since she takes dd one day a week. He rarely drives her or its a situation where he just takes my car. I'd consider how much he would need a seat and then decide whether he needs his own.
Unfortunately we share the pick up/drop off duties, so he kind of needs his own. I drop him off at babysitters, he picks him up. Most of the time if we go running around on the weekends it's in his car since it fits everyone better (we have SD12 on the weekends). The only way to get away with one is just to have me switch out cars on my way to work. It could be done since technically I drive by his work on my way back from the sitters but seems more inconvenient.
Yep! Thanks for that
. We'll probably start figuring it out after this weekend. I wouldn't have even thought about them
.
I did a Google search and found this site for Nissan
https://www.nissanusa.com/snugkids/manuals
I haven't checked it out yet. It is on my list, well the roundabout 50 (can only find the 55 on amazon to check out) so not sure what the difference in the numbers are other than maybe weight that it goes up to.
Yay for you!!
It's nice when that happens.
