Fell down stairs w one year old

Ugh. My one year old and I were having a wonderful day yesterday until my foot decided to slip on the carpet and we fell down the stairs. How horrible on so many levels. I landed on my butt and arm, and my LO hit her head. So I had to go to the Ob for a us ... My Ob was so nice to just let me come in to put my mind at ease and there was the heartbeat strong as ever and baby looks fine... Meanwhile dh took LO to the ped and she is fine too.
What a nightmare. My Ob said at this point a fall down the stairs is usually ok but they scanned me to put my mind at ease. What haunts me more is the sight of lo's head hitting the stair. I feel fine today except bruised arm and butt. I am so glad everyone is ok but what an ordeal.

Oh gosh, how scary. It's good that the OB was understanding. I'd be worried, too.
I know from experience that after one fall like that you'll be cautious on those stairs forever.
Kids are resilient and practically made of rubber so try not to beat yourself up. I'm glad you and your babies are okay.
