  We have an Arm's Reach co sleeper. It's nice cuz he can be in his side car for part of the night, then comes into bed with us. Typically when he sleepswith us it's in the crook of my arm facing me.

  I nearly always fell asleep breastfeeding, so products that required me to stay awake defeated the biggest asset to cosleeping for me. I bought a bed rail and made my bed baby-safe. This time, we bought an ARC... but I fully expect baby to sleep in the crook of my arm for the first few weeks or months.
