AF begins then ugly cry

IUI #3 is ending with a thud. AF is creeping in.  I had an ugly cry, "what did I ever do wrong, poor hubby, broken me", type tantrum.  After 2.5 years, a cp, MTX and subsequent benching, I am exhausted and angry.  How do you keep your chin up, when you're so depleted?  I need scotch.
Actively TTC since 01/11
Me: 06/12 Dx w/ IR PCOS (rx 2000 metformin) DH: SA all clear; looking good
06/12-10/12- Clomid/Femara + trigger + TI + P4 = 3 BFNs, hysteroscopy, polypectomy, D&C
11/12 - 7.5 mg Femara + trigger + IUI + P4 = BFN
12/12 - Surprise BFP ectopic (MTX 01/13)
04/13 - Off the Bench! 7.5 mg Femara + trigger + IUI #2 + estradiol + P4 = BFN
05/13 Clear HSG-5 mg Femara + Menopur + trigger + IUI #3 + P4 = BFP ectopic (MTX 07/03 & 07/11)
07/23 emergency lap to remove ectopic mass and left tube
10/13 5mg Femara + Menopur + trigger + TI(follie on left/no IUI)=BFN
11/13 Same as above but BFP!
Beta #1 12dpo-51     Beta #2 15dpo-178
12/5- There's something in my ute!!

    Have a pity party, drink, cry, do what you gotta do.  You can keep your chin up tomorrow.

    September 2012: Start IF testing

    DH (32): SA is ok, slightly low morph, normal SCSA  Me (32): Slightly low progesterone, hostile CM, carrier for CF, Moderately high NKC, High TNFa, heterozyogous mutated Factor XIII, and +APA

    October 2012-May 2014: 4 failed IUIs, 3 failed IVFs, and 1 failed FETw/donor embryos

    November 2014: IVF w/ICSI #4 Agonist/Antagonist with EPP and Prednisone, Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, and IVIG for immune issues.  Converted to freeze all due to lining issues.  2 blasts frozen on day 6!

    January 2015: FET #2 Cancelled due to lining issues

    April 2015: FET #2.1


    PAIF/SAIF Welcome!

    I am so sorry- IF sucks.  So sorry you are going through this.

    Me DX: Hashimotos,Hypothyroid, DOR, MTHFR,  DH: normal

     IUI #1-#4 BFNs and a few cancelled cycles in the mix.
    - poor responder
    ***Suprise BFP on 6/13/13. Natural MC @6wks 3days
    IVF#1 and 2- Cancelled due to no response on max stimms
    FET 5/20- BFP
    1st Beta- 641
    2nd beta- 2166
    Sono- TWINS!!!!
    Two Boys! Born January 2015 @36 weeks.  Healthy and no NICU!  So blessed!

    I'm so sorry about your BFN. I cope by crying, an extra drink or 5, and comfort foods especially baked stuff. As far as keeping my chin up, it usually takes a few days of being sad before I snap out of it and focus on the next step.

    Have some scotch. And a big hug from me. I'm sorry for your awful day.
    Me- 35 Dx endo; DH- 33 no probs.
    BFP#1 (totally a wonderful surprise)- 3/10/11. IUFD 6/25/11. 
    TTC since 8/2011.
    BFP#2- 11/1/11. EDD 7/6/12. Blighted ovum 12/1/11.

    New OBGYN 12/2012- CD3 labs, SA, HSG normal. 
    First RE appt 1/16/2013. Unexplained infertility. Lap planned. 

    12/2012- Clomid 50mg + TI= BFN 
    1/2013- Clomid 50mg + TI= BFN.

     Lap 2/11/2013- Removed endo. 

    3/2013- Clomid + IUI= BFN
    4/2013- Clomid + IUI= BFN
    5/2013- Clomid + IUI= BFN

    June 2013- Time for a new RE!

    July 2013- We're in Shared Risk! Love my new RE!
    August 2013- IVF#1- 14 R, 11F, transferred 1 perfect blast, 5 day 5 frosties= BFN.
    Sept 2013- Let's get ready for FET October 7th ish!< transfer 2 embies 10/11/13.......BFP 10/18/13!!!!/div>

    PAIF/SAIF and everyone is welcome. If I can make even one person's journey less painful, I will consider my experience here successful. Thank you to all for sharing their stories, the intimate details of their lives, their knowledge, and their hearts. I hope this experience changes me, always for the better.

    Me-34,DH-34
    Dx:Hypothyroidism 2008
    HSG- All clear CD 3 bloodwork normal
    SA- Abnormal Dx:MFI
    DH on 50mg Clomid 3x week
    BFP#1- 1/21/13 CP 1/24/13
    Cycle 18,19 & 20 50mg Clomid+trigger+IUI= All BFFN
    Cycle 21-25 Taking a break for now, still HIO Hoping!
    Moving onto IVF Next AF

    So sorry about AF showing up.  I agree with others that today have a pity party.  Cry, have a drink, eat something fattening (I had M&Ms for breakfast yesterday after my BFN).  Tomorrow you can worry about keeping your chin up.  Sending you big internet ((hugs))

    DH's SA : Excellent

    Lap and Hysteroscopy June 2012

    DX: PCOS, Stage III Endo, slight Adenomyosis, blocked tube, and probable LPD

    Treatments:  6 Months Lupron Depot injections; 1500 mg metformin; 3 cycles of Clomid + TI = BFN

    3 endometrial biopsies all were "out of phase" 

    September - December, 2013:  Break to lose weight and get healthy

    40 lb weight loss but still not ovulating "in phase"  

    February - March 2014: bcps + follistim + trigger + TI = BFP

     Beta #1 (12dpo): 30; Beta #2 (18dpo): 500; Beta #3 (25dpo): 7,000!!! 

    1st u/s 4/16: One beautiful hb at 144 bmp 

    2nd u/s 4/29: hb at 166 bmp.  Graduated from RE!!

    Baby girl arrived on Thanksgiving day weighing 7lbs 6oz and measuring 20 inches

    Awww, I'm so sorry. IF sucks!!! I'm sending you big ::hugs:: and hope that tomorrow will be a better day. I agree with the PP: today is a day to indulge in pity parties, a good stiff drink, chocolate... Whatever will be comforting to you. And when you wake up tomorrow, then you can pick your chin up again when you're ready.

    Dx: Poor Embryo Quality, Arcuate Uterus, Poor Uterine Blood Flow, Mild Endo, 
           Protein S Deficiency, Sjorgen's Syndrome 

    IUI #1-5: BFN
    Laparoscopy & Hysteroscopy: minimal endo, partial septoplasty
    IVF #1: 10R/6M/6F ~ Day 3 ET = BFN
    IVF #2: 14R/9M/5F ~ transfer canceled ~ all embryos arrested at 1-2 cell stage
    IVF #3: 9R/5M/5F ~ 1 frosty!
    IVF #4 (FET #1): BFN

    IVF #5 (DE IVF #1 with Dr. KK protocol): Currently PREGNANT!!!!!!
    Synthroid + Prednisone + Metformin + Baby Aspirin + Supplements Galore = 15+ pills a day
    Lupron + Lovenox + Delestrogen + IVIG + B/W = 2-5 pokes a day
    19R, 17M, 17F - transferred two Grade A blasts 11/16, four frosties!!!
    Beta #1 11/24 (13dpo/8dp5dt) = 367 ~ Beta #2 11/26 (15dpo/10dp5dt) = 709
    Beta #3 11/29 (18dpo/13dp5dt) = 1,997 ~ Beta #4 12/1 (20dpo/15dp5dt) = 3,403

    :'( I'm sorry. I'll join you in that scotch! I say we do an IRL TTTC meetup at a pub or bar or something! LOL

     

    I know all of our lucks will change soon. I can feel it! Do your "ugly crying" now-  trust me, you'll feel SO much better once it's out. ((HUGS))

    I'm sorry :( It's definitely okay to have an ugly cry, it's not healthy to keep everything bottled up inside!

    Thank you... and I really mean it.  7 ugly cries later and I am rebounding enough to refill my glass!  It helps so much to have a place where everyone understands a majoroty of what you're going through.  And that's not the scotch talkin'!
